For the next stage in the design process, some or all of the details and artwork are created, such as the tafferel design for an 18th century frigate shown above, or the 24 pounder long-gun computer model shown directly below.
As you can see from the image above, there's a lot of design detail created, not all of which may find its way onto the actual model depending mostly on the scale. The cannon you see below are about an inch in length.
The image above shows our c.1812 stern design for the United States heavy frigate Constitution.
